This intense risk-off sentiment spread quickly across Asia on Friday morning, forcing South Korean authorities to temporarily suspend stock trading after an index slump. Indian markets had previously built strong momentum on Thursday, with the Sensex jumping over 2,000 points thanks to domestic buying and easing crude oil prices. Even with the impending global drag, analysts point out that benchmark indices maintain a positive bias despite potential consolidation risks.
