Jammu and Kashmir’s governing National Conference labeled Aga Ruhullah Mehdi’s resignation a targeted effort to undermine their organization. Party leaders rejected Mehdi's claims regarding a weakened stance on Articles 370 and 35A, pointing out his decades of loyalty prior to the departure.
