Xbox’s smallest-ever controller is surprisingly comfortable

By · Via The Verge · Published by Everything Blog

In short

The Xbox Nano weighs just 101 grams and features scaled-down thumbsticks, compact pressure-sensitive triggers, and slightly reduced ABXY buttons. Although most inputs have shrunk, the central glowing Xbox button and the D-pad remain full-sized. Battery life lags behind standard wireless controllers by losing roughly 10 percent charge every 30 to 40 minutes. However, a rapid USB-C connection allows players to restore 30 percent of battery life in under 10 minutes during active play.

I’m not young, but I do have small hands, and I’ve been surprised at how comfortable the Nano is during gaming sessions. At just over 5 inches long, almost everything on this controller has been shrunk down somehow. The ABXY buttons are ever so slightly smaller than a regular Xbox controller, and the thumbsticks feel like miniature versions. Microsoft hasn’t changed the D-pad, though, or the size of the glowing Xbox button at the center of the controller.

The big difference I noticed with the Nano over a regular Xbox controller…
