Iran’s armed forces chief of staff and commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Abdollahi, has said that "under no circumstances will we allow rusting US warships to re-enter the Persian Gulf".

In remarks carried by Press TV, Abdollahi said: "The proud armed forces of Iran have rendered the US Navy ineffective — a force that Trump and the US leadership regard as the pinnacle of American power and use to threaten the region and the world — to the extent that it is no longer capable of approaching the waters surrounding the Persian Gulf or Iran’s territorial waters."

“The US president can only dream of seeing his military personnel and army enter the Persian Gulf again. They will take this wish to their graves,” he said.
