U2 on Dolly Parton's final duet; and the 'grudge match' behind their new album

By · Published by Everything Blog

In short

U2 is following up their surprise early-2026 projects, *Days of Ash* and *Easter Lily*, with a new full-length release titled *Carnaval de Luz*. The first, Days of Ash, was urgent and angry – addressing the shooting of US citizen Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer; and the death of Palestinian activist Odeh Hathaleenm, who was allegedly killed by an Israeli settler. Yinon Levy has been charged with reckless manslaughter and said he would fight for his innocence in court.

U2's follow-up, Easter Lily, was more reflective, asking whether faith and friendship are enough to sustain us in challenging times.
