Tiger Revival In Bengal's Buxa Reserve Hits Snag As Tigress Wanders To Assam
In short
Wildlife authorities are dealing with unexpected movement after a female tiger departed West Bengal's Buxa Reserve and made her way into neighboring Assam. The animal had previously arrived in the region via a dedicated Indian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. Her straying poses a challenge to local habitat restoration programs that rely on keeping relocated predators within designated boundaries. Monitoring and population revival operations now face complications due to this interstate journey.
