In short

The operational restructuring will impact roughly 300 of the company’s 1,800 workers as Squarespace moves to simplify its business. Departing staff members are slated to receive transition packages that include 16 weeks of base salary alongside healthcare coverage running into May 2027. These cutbacks come roughly two years after private equity firm Permira completed its acquisition of the platform. During that same timeframe, the company rolled out its Blueprint AI tool to automate website creation and content drafting.
