SpaceX will deploy Qualcomm’s Dragonwing cellular infrastructure hardware and software into base stations to establish tens of thousands of new cell sites. The integration is aimed at delivering high-capacity coverage, though agreements with tower companies remain unannounced. Starlink continues to serve as an essential financial engine for the company, having generated 36% of its revenue and 85% of operating profit in the third quarter. This infrastructure push follows a record-setting IPO in June that pushed the company's valuation near $2 trillion.

SpaceX announced a deal with chipmaker Qualcomm to provide key network technology for Elon Musk's Starlink Mobile service, a challenger to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.
Qualcomm said on Wednesday that the terrestrial network it will help SpaceX build will "complement Starlink's satellite capabilities," with a planned rollout to begin next year. Financial terms of the multiyear deal weren't disclosed.
"Together with SpaceX, we are building world-leading cellular infrastructure in the United States, advancing 5G today, with an opportunity to lay the foundation for AI-native 6G in the years ahead," Durga Malladi, an executive vice president at Qualcomm, said in the statement.
Starlink is a critical piece of SpaceX's business, accounting for 36% of the company's revenue in the third quarter and 85% of its operating profit. But to date, the company's consumer business has been limited when it comes to mobile direct-to-device services as its satellite network can't provide all the voice, video and data coverage that competitors offer on popular smartphones.
Now SpaceX is snapping up spectrum and forging partnerships to take on the major mobile carriers. Last month,…
Critical medical supply chains are facing emerging physical threats through digital compromises of third-party cooling infrastructure. Security teams are contending with vulnerabilities in specialized temperature-control systems that directly threaten perishable medical resources. The broader trend indicates malicious actors are increasingly manipulating environmental settings rather than merely stealing corporate data.
Academic researchers discovered that privacy settings on modern connected screens often fail to provide complete protection against data harvesting. While multiple major operating systems honor viewer opt-out requests, several dominant manufacturers continue transmitting audio or video fingerprinting data under specific viewing conditions. These findings reveal that consumer attempts to block targeted advertising and viewing metrics can be undermined by system-level exceptions.
Modern computing facilities face mounting electrical demands as computational workloads continue to expand rapidly across the industry. In response to these escalating requirements, engineers engineered an innovative infrastructure solution to optimize power conversion and reduce the overall physical footprint. This novel high-voltage architecture represents a major step forward in meeting the intensive energy needs of large-scale computational operations.
