Semaphore Open Source 1.6 has officially launched across both Community and Enterprise editions, delivering 538 commits and roughly 530 changes from 25 contributors. The release introduces a built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server enabled by default, allowing external AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot to interact directly with continuous integration workflows. Connected via OAuth 2.1, these agents can inspect pipelines, logs, artifacts, and test results to troubleshoot fail…

Semaphore open source now has a built-in MCP server. AI agents can read your pipelines, find out why a build failed and rerun it, and your CI data stays on your own infrastructure.
Semaphore Open Source 1.6 is out, in both the Community Edition (CE) and the Enterprise Edition (EE). It includes 538 commits and about 530 changes from 25 contributors, 13 of them contributing for the first time.
We shared a first look at 1.6 in October. This post covers everything in the final release.
What Shipped
An MCP server for AI agents
Every 1.6 install comes with an MCP server, turned on by default, on both CE and EE.
AI assistants and coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, VS Code and GitHub Copilot can connect to it and:
- Read workflows, pipelines, jobs, logs, test results and artifacts
- List and run scheduled tasks
- Search the Semaphore docs
- Run or rerun workflows
Agents sign in with OAuth 2.1. The server runs at mcp.<your domain>
Telecommunications leaders and healthcare providers are collaborating to explore how next-generation mobile networks can support complex clinical tools and optimize resource distribution. By shifting heavy computational burdens from physical hardware to cloud infrastructure, the initiative aims to enhance continuous remote monitoring and streamline inpatient procedures. The findings will help define operational standards for future connected medical environments.
The strategic shift underscores an accelerating push to deepen domestic supply chain integration across advanced manufacturing operations. By setting aggressive targets for its next production site, Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp aims to reduce reliance on foreign components. This trajectory reinforces broader efforts to insulate critical semiconductor production capabilities through expanded local partnerships.
Codename One is bringing its cross-platform development framework to embedded Linux, enabling software teams to build user interfaces, companion services, and cloud tools under a unified Java or Kotlin codebase. The solution targets low-spec edge hardware by removing the operational complexity of managing disparate technological stacks and external licensing costs. This allows manufacturers to streamline deployment across diverse systems while keeping operational footprints exceptionally low.
