In short

Investors are targeting beaten-down alternative energy assets, wagering that favorable midterm election outcomes will reverse a five-month decline across the industry. Derivative flows were overwhelmingly skewed toward upside contracts for both diversified funds and single-stock names. In addition to broad fund activity, individual equities like SolarEdge Technologies gained over 6% ahead of earnings while seeing triple its standard options volume.
