Nottingham Forest have slipped into the bottom three after suffering a 2-0 defeat at Brentford, leaving them with only one win from their first nine league fixtures. Oliver Glasner admitted that past compromises harmed the team and declared that a comprehensive rebuild from bottom to top is essential for future success. Demonstrating this uncompromising approach, the manager recently rejected a player's request to travel back from London alone, requiring the entire squad to ride the team bus together.

Forest went down 2-0 at Brentford on Saturday to stay in the bottom three with one win from their opening nine Premier League games and Glasner said change was needed.

The dramatic turnaround follows back-to-back 17th-place league finishes and a prior slump that yielded just three wins across 26 matches. This positive momentum comes as the club begins to see returns from its massive £300m summer squad overhaul.

However, extreme transport challenges, falling silver prices, and limited resources halted operations within a decade. Today, the former settlement features no standing buildings and is preserved as a state heritage site.
