UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has said that Britain is “redoubling” efforts to find diplomatic solutions to Iran war because the conflict is "driving up bills for families in Britain".

In a video posted on X, he said “the cost of living crisis is the number one issue facing people in Britain”.

He said his job as the UK’s foreign secretary was to do everything he could “to bring an end to this conflict”, which had gone on “too long” and caused “too much damage” to people in Britain.

“We cannot afford much more of it,” he said.
