Malaysia's king says Najib's conditional pardon is unambiguous, warns against disputing it

In short

Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar affirmed that all required conditions for the former prime minister's conditional pardon have been satisfied, rejecting attempts to challenge the decree. His statement came after the Attorney-General's Chambers requested a temporary suspension of the transfer to resolve questions regarding a RM50 million fine payment. Prosecutors argued that clarity is critical because a separate 15-year prison sentence in the 1MDB case must begin immediately once the SRC International sentence concludes. Meanwhile, defense lawyers from Shafee & Co insisted there is no valid legal basis to delay the transition to house arrest.
