In short

Regional officials ordered the Himalayan Institute of Alternative Learning to suspend all operations at the Desert Flower School in Phyang. A formal notice issued by the Leh Tehsildar's office noted that classes began before necessary administrative clearances were granted. Although co-founder Gitanjali J Angmo sought a No Objection Certificate for the proposed Managing Committee members on September 22, operations commenced prematurely. The institution has been directed to maintain a strict status quo until the High Court issues its final decision.
