Israel vote results confirmed as election commission rejects fraud claims

In short

The Central Elections Committee certified the final results after Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg cast the deciding presidium vote alongside Yesh Atid and Blue and White representatives, while Likud and Shas abstained. The formal approval directly rebuffed demands from figures like National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to arrest Arab party leaders over claims of foreign funding operations. Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc finished with 53 seats, Gadi Eisenkot’s bloc secured 48, and Arab-led parties won 19. President Herzog must now consult with party leaders to determine if any viable governing coalition or unity government can be formed.

The committee said a review of 9,069 polling stations found no irregularities that compromised the integrity of the election or changed its results. Its acting director, Dean Livne, said every complaint had been examined individually and the results accurately reflected voters’ choices.
