In short

Investors funneled substantial capital into domestic equities as doubts emerged over the durability of massive spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure. Relief was compounded by Brent crude suffering its sharpest weekly downturn since April 2020 on prospects that U.S. President Donald Trump could pursue an end to the Iran war. These cheaper commodity costs directly benefit the country, which relies on foreign supplies for roughly 90% of its petroleum needs.
