In short

The two-day strike taking place on November 2 and 3, 2026, aims to block the transfer of ownership to the Canadian investment firm. To soften the operational blow, the bank maintained digital portals like Go Mobile+ and UPI while making non-IDBI ATM withdrawals entirely free. Meanwhile, the United Forum of IDBI Officers & Employees petitioned Mumbai conciliation authorities regarding alleged administrative intimidation against participating workers. Broader industry solidarity also emerged through a badge-wearing protest organized by the United Forum of Bank Unions.
