In short

The Greenville Police Department officially concluded its case after the coroner confirmed the fatal incident involved fentanyl alongside other substances. While the coroner initially categorized the fatality as an accident last month, police prolonged their work to trace the narcotics back to a California-based dealer. Panettiere was originally discovered unresponsive in an apartment by Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, who alerted emergency responders. The tragedy comes shortly after the "Heroes" and "Nashville" star chronicled her experiences with postpartum depression and substance misuse in her recent memoir.
