The Enforcement Directorate revealed that narcotics like heroin and methamphetamine are moved across the Tiau river into Mizoram before being trafficked across India. A week-long crackdown across 38 northeastern locations exposed goods transactions exceeding Rs 270 crore. Authorities have already frozen over 1,400 mule bank accounts linked to procuring traders as the inquiry continues.
