The demonstrations, which initially emerged in the Paris suburbs in September, saw pupils blockade 41 institutions across cities including Paris, Marseille, and Rennes. Government officials offered four billion euros for facility renovations, scrapped planned education staff cuts, and pledged to eliminate the Parcoursup admissions platform by 2028. However, multiple student syndicates dismissed the package as inadequate and organized upcoming disruptions for both schools and universities.
