In short

Tanvi Patri pushed reigning world junior champion Zhang Yi Xin to a 24-26 final game after mounting a massive comeback from 10-19 down. Despite competing through severe heat, mosquitoes, and recent illness, she finished the event healthy and focused on her larger athletic journey. Her father, Rabinarayan Patri, noted she was never outplayed and encouraged her to quickly move past the silver-medal heartbreak. Off the court in Dakar, the Bengaluru-trained athlete also embraced the cultural experience by trading pins and socializing at the 365 Athlete House.
