Emotional reunions with loved ones for Oleshky evacuees

In short

Evacuees from the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky completed a multi-country evacuation route, crossing into northern Ukraine's Chernihiv region from Belarus on Saturday. Relatives gathered at a designated border location where arriving buses and ambulances delivered their family members. The transit was made possible by a localized pause in fighting brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump that took effect on Tuesday. This ceasefire covering the frontline Kherson region is slated to conclude at the end of Sunday, 1 November.
