Dry and chilly start to November after wet but sunny October

By · Published by Everything Blog

In short

The current dry spell follows an October characterized by 13% above-average rainfall, driven in part by Storm Austen and Storm Boelo making October 24 the joint-sixth wettest day on record. Even though England endured its wettest week in two years, the Environment Agency stressed that sustained winter rain is required after the record-breaking summer. Conditions will remain mostly dry through the week with temperatures falling slightly, though a weak low-pressure system from France may introduce patchy rain by the weekend.
