Stevens endorsed Rogers during a joint church appearance on Sunday and later posted a video stating she did not belong in the campaign of Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed. While El-Sayed has criticized the commercial and denied involvement with its message, he has not issued a statement regarding Stevens's defection.
