In short

The Democratic sweep of the Senate and House poses a setback for an industry that invested over $300 million across recent election cycles to secure deregulation. At the same time, platforms are grappling with catastrophic security breaches, including a record-breaking $6 billion exploit that led to billions in net withdrawals. These compounding pressures have driven Bitcoin to stabilize near $78,070, down roughly 41 percent from its peak above $122,000. Analysts warn the shift in legislative power could effectively freeze further progress on structural framework development.
