Captured By Dimagi Naxals, Cong Has Lost Its Ability To Think, said PM Modi.

NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi launched a fresh attack on Rahul Gandhi and Congress, saying the opposition party is endangering India’s achievements, strengths and progress to shield the Nehru-Gandhi family from its repeated electoral “failures” and is trying to defame the country by seeking help from foreign forces.“Dimagi naxals have captured Congress so much that it has lost its ability to think. Those who used to cause destruction in forests are now determined to wreak havoc on the country through Congress,” he said, while addressing the NDTV World Summit, referring to hardcore Left elements accused of being sympathetic to Maoists and now vocal in protests against EC and govt.“Congress makes more failed attempts to launch its neta (Rahul) than the launches from Sriharikota (Isro satellite launch site) in a year,” he said.“No one knows how long Congress will stake the country’s future to launch its failed product,” he added. “Grapes have become so sour for Congress that it is cutting off the grapevine. This family of Congress has become a burden for its own party.” The PM added that many seasoned functionaries of the party realise this but prefer to keep quiet while feeling insulted. At a time of so much disorder in the world, a message of a strong India should go out.

But some people are dreaming of stoking disorder in the country. “These people go abroad to seek foreign intervention to defame India,” he said, bringing up a charge BJP repeatedly levels against Rahul.Congress’s single-minded determination to buttress the Gandhi family, he said, is not only a threat to democracy but also comes at the cost of his govt’s honest critics whose voice is suppressed by the main opposition party and is drowned out in its noise. Many opposition MPs, he said, want to be heard in Parliament but Congress in its zeal to keep the family in the limelight, does not allow it to function by resorting to disruptions. He said agitations highlighting govt’s shortcomings and wanting to reform the system are necessary in a democracy but Congress wants to destroy them.

Turning to his call for Viksit Bharat by 2047, Modi said the spirit of “we will do it” is echoing in the country and highlighted his govt’s efforts to turn India into the “brain office” of the world from its earlier image of merely a global back office. He said India stands for a world order rooted in humanity and not promoting big powers at the cost of small powers. The country followed this during the Covid-19 pandemic when global powers prioritised their selfish interests, he said.“India’s role and identity are changing. The world that used to depend on its manpower is now also trusting its brainpower,” the PM said, citing the strides the country is making in the AI and semiconductor industry.
