In short

State-owned oil companies implemented price revisions that raise 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders to Rs 2,820 and push aviation turbine fuel up to Rs 138.50 per litre. While businesses absorb higher costs, rates for domestic cooking gas, petrol, and diesel have seen no adjustments. This upward trend in jet fuel is critical for airlines, where fuel alone accounts for up to 40 per cent of total operating expenses. Furthermore, the pricing structure for smaller Free Trade LPG cylinders has also been revised, setting a 5-kg refill at Rs 782.

Meanwhile, the price of a 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder for a new connection stands at Rs 1,903, while a refill costs Rs 782. FTL cylinders are smaller LPG cylinders sold at market-linked prices, outside the regular subsidised…
