Database teams can leverage expanded analytical power through a massive rollout featuring 104 new features, 225 performance optimizations, and 739 bug fixes. The update modernizes query syntax by replacing complex nested lambdas with a streamlined pipeline composition operator. These foundational upgrades improve everyday workloads by accelerating aggregation queries, lowering memory pressure with disk spilling, and expanding file integration options. Specifically, the system introduces an experimental columns cache aimed at preventing repeated decompressing and deserializing of identical data blocks.

Another month goes by, which means it’s time for another release!
The ClickHouse 26.10 release contains 104 new features 🎃 225 performance optimizations 🍂 and 739 bug fixes 🦉.
This release brings function composition for more readable SQL, more flexible JOIN conditions, and new ways to work with text and SQLite files.
We also have faster GROUP BY queries, disk spilling for IN subqueries, and an experimental columns cache that saves repeated reads from decompressing and deserializing the same data.

Solar technology manufacturer LONGi has pushed past previous limits in crystalline silicon cell performance. The achievement demonstrates rapid progress in commercial solar efficiency and underscores ongoing market competition to maximize renewable power generation. This breakthrough highlights the company's commitment to advancing the energy transition through improved hardware performance.
British media watchdog Ofcom announced the platform's policy shift to protect young audiences from potential online grooming and unwanted contact from strangers. The intervention comes amid heightened regulatory pressure across technology companies to overhaul their existing safety standards or face massive financial penalties. Snapchat also committed to establishing effective age-verification measures for accounts belonging to minors before the end of the year.
Apple’s entry into the foldable market brings premium construction alongside notable ergonomic compromises and durability concerns. Priced at $2,000, the device enters a category dominated by mature Android rivals that have spent years refining both multi-screen software and hinge engineering. Early performance suggests the company still has ground to cover in matching the operational polish and reliability of its competition.
