Citizens for Justice and Peace has scheduled an afternoon demonstration to demand the cancellation of the Election Commission's second phase of SIR. The group previously set a 48-hour ultimatum calling for Gyanesh Kumar's resignation, the restoration of January 2025 voter lists, and the repeal of the 2023 law governing election commissioner appointments. Organizers are also coordinating with student groups like the SFI following the delisting of Jantar Mantar as a protest site in Delhi.
