Ask HN: Does anyone have a contact with Cleveland-area Ham club?

By · Published by Everything Blog

In short

A homeowner is searching for direct contacts at the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Club to donate a substantial volume of equipment, much of which is brand-new. Because an initial inquiry sent through the organization's website form went unread, the person is asking community members to help notify the group. In response, a Cleveland-area operator proposed redirecting the donation to W8EDU, the amateur radio club at Case Western Reserve University. That local operator also shared a temporary email address to assist with direct communication.

I filled out the web form for the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Club but it's probably been circular-filed... I gave some info about a large collection of radio gear that needs to be removed from a home or it will be put into a dumpster. A lot of it brand-new. If you know anybody at the club, please tell them to check whatever it is that receives their webform input.

I'm in the area and a ham, though not part of the club. I suggest you also get in touch with the Case club, W8EDU. Feel free to shoot me an email as well and I might be able to help me some contacts (pun intended). Email in profile for the next few hours.
