In short

The Bombay High Court directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to reinstate an anti-pollution clip featuring actor Dia Mirza after the civic body removed it due to objections. Justices Girish Kulkarni and Neela Gokhale noted that the actor's advocacy against noise and air pollution provided a constructive message that should not be derailed by the complaints of a few individuals. The bench reiterated that directives aimed at curbing firecracker pollution are designed to operate year-round rather than exclusively during Diwali. Additionally, the court ordered authorities to implement and enforce strict operating windows for bursting firecrackers.
