Designed for enterprise administrators, the analytics tool tracks workplace AI interactions over 28-day periods across coding, chat, and collaborative workflows. It highlights operational bottlenecks like tool failures and tracks list-price costs while restricting sensitive subject queries. The feature is disabled by default, requires an organization owner to turn it on, and includes up to 10 free reports per month. Anthropic explicitly warns that the resulting summaries should not be used for employment decisions or performance evaluations.

Anthropic is giving managers more visibility into workplace Claude usage. Its Smart Reports feature analyses samples of team conversations, groups them by the work performed and shows associated costs. Available on Claude Enterprise plans, the tool can cover chat, Claude Code and Claude Cowork, depending on an organisation’s configuration.
“Smart reports analyze how a team uses Claude and report on the work getting done, what it costs at list price, where sessions run into friction, and which repeated patterns are worth packaging as shared skills,” Anthropic wrote in a blog post.
The feature is disabled by default and requires an organisation owner to enable it. Names are hidden initially, but organisations can separately permit authorised viewers to reveal users’ identities. Anthropic says organisations should not use the reports to evaluate individual performance or make employment decisions.
Who can enable the feature
Each eligible organisation can generate up to 10 reports monthly at no charge. Reports usually take a few hours to produce. Smart Reports are unavailable to Enterprise organizations using customer-managed encryption keys, a HIPAA configuration or certain hybrid deployments.
Advanced artificial intelligence tools are accelerating vulnerability discovery, enabling rapid detection of severe flaws across vital open-source environments like Linux and Firefox. While developers offer defensive initiatives and financial backing, high computing costs and restricted platform access threaten to tilt the advantage toward malicious actors. The emerging dynamic highlights an urgent race between resource-constrained defenders and novice attackers leveraging powerful models.
Research organization METR found a dramatic surge in development speed at Anthropic, signaling a major shift in how modern artificial intelligence is built. This rapid progress highlights how deploying existing internal artificial intelligence tools creates a compounding effect on training newer systems. The dynamic demonstrates that automated assistance has become the primary catalyst for advancing cutting-edge model capabilities.
