Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras was in touch with her loved ones and air traffic control until the aircraft plunged to the ground in Palm Beach County on Sunday afternoon.
Her stepfather, Thiago Corteleti, told the New York Post that Filgueiras had messaged her boyfriend, also a pilot, around 12:40 pm, just 10 minutes before the crash at approximately 12:50 pm.
"She just said, 'I've got turbulence, I've got ice,'" Corteleti told, recalling the message she sent to her boyfriend.
