Watch: From launch to fiery splashdown, Starship completes orbit test
In short
SpaceX's Starship rocket successfully completed an orbit test mission, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean after three hours of orbiting the Earth. The mission, originally planned for 10 hours, was terminated early due to SpaceX's decision. During the test, 26 "next generation" Starlink V3 satellites were deployed, joining the existing constellation providing broadband internet on Earth. SpaceX aims to eventually carry crew and cargo to "Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond."
