MUMBAI: Bollywood actor

Tiger Shroff reportedly took the wheel and rushed his injured driver to hospital after unidentified assailants opened fire at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.

A video of the incident shows the actor switching seats with his driver after the firing. A woman can be heard saying, “Jaldi le kar jaao, Tiger”.

Blood stains are also visible in the aftermath of the attack.

Shroff’s driver, Firdaus, sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand, while the actor escaped without any bullet injuries. The incident took place near Pushpa Narsee Park, where the actor’s vehicle was targeted by motorcycle-borne assailants.

Another person, an autorickshaw driver, was also injured in the firing, according to police.

The video shows Shroff moving into the driver's seat after his driver was injured in the shooting. The actor reportedly took charge of the vehicle to get the injured driver medical attention.

Shroff and Firdaus were taken to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle. Doctors said the actor had sustained minor abrasions but no bullet wounds, while the driver suffered a gunshot injury to his left hand.

The other injured person, an autorickshaw driver identified as Chauhan, was taken to Cooper Hospital with bullet injuries to his chest.

The firing took place around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, when Shroff was returning in his car. Seven shots were fired in all.

Unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at the vehicle, injuring the driver and another person nearby.

Police have launched an investigation and formed multiple teams to identify and apprehend those involved. CCTV footage from the area is being examined, while forensic teams have begun analysing evidence collected from the spot.

Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, purportedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the firing in a social media post and a voice note.

The message also threatened people in the Mumbai film industry who work with actor Salman Khan.
