By · Published by Everything Blog

In short

The government has introduced new rules for highway contracts, offering financial advantages to top-rated contractors while penalizing lower-rated ones. The revised model concession agreement includes a 3%, 4%, and 5% performance security for EPC projects, aiming to give financial advantage to highly rated contractors but affecting cash flow for low-rated contractors. The government plans to award the highest number of highway projects in the current financial year, with 26 projects under the EPC mode, 21 under the hybrid annuity model, and seven under the build-operate-transfer model.
