Qazi reveals Ekta Kapoor offered him a TV show
Speaking about the offer, he told Aamrapali Dubey, "I signed movies, woh bani nahi, usmein saal do saal nikal gaye. TV maine kabhi kiya nahi. TV ki opportunity bahot badi badi thi. Main khushkismat tha jiske liye Ekta Kapoor ji aayi 2005 mein and she narrated the story. Aur mujhe tab samajh nahi aayi, main chota tha sirf 20 saal ka main sirf unki anguthiyaan dekh raha tha dono haanthon mein. Rockstar ka pura character Ekta ji mujhe narrate kar rahi thi."
He went on to add, "Mujhe woh narrate kar rahi thi aur main kya saamne bolun unko ke main nahi karna chahta...nahi bolunga na."
Qazi on the media scrutiny that followed
Qazi revealed that he couldn’t say no to Ekta Kapoor directly, so he conveyed his decision to a person named Anupama instead.
"Mere saath ek lady thi Anupamaa, unko maine kaan mein bola, ma'am i can't do it. Aur itne acche log the na, unhone Qazi it is fine if you don't want to do it. Maine bola Ma'am, I am already doing a film. I have a contract, it's already signed."
Qazi further shared that to his surprise the next day, he faced media scrutiny, he was portrayed as arrogant. Recalling the media attention that followed, Qazi shared, "Main subah breakfast mein dekh raha hoon, 'Qazi ditched Ekta Kapoor. Qazi has a bigger fish to fry.' Yeh paper aisa hi hai, media aisa hi hai. Uss time clarification karne ke liye thodi tha hamare paas social media. Ho gaya badnaam."
